Companies I’ve worked for and the products I build on my own — what I built, the results where I have numbers, and the stack.

Facetok — real-time video interpretation for US hospitals, on iOS, Android and web.

  • Rewrote the app from an MVP whose business rules lived inside the UI components — moved that logic out of the components, managed app state with the Context API and upgraded React Native along the way
  • Took it from iOS-only to fully working iOS, Android and web apps on one React Native + Expo codebase, with SQLite for local data
  • Integrated Expo EAS and automated CI/CD with GitHub Actions — the pipeline tells apart changes that need a new store build from smaller ones shipped straight to users as over-the-air updates
  • Introduced automated testing — Jest for unit tests and Maestro for end-to-end tests
  • Moved video calls from Vonage/OpenTok to WebRTC on Mediasoup to cut platform costs, and refactored the critical video components
  • Node.js and GraphQL backend on PostgreSQL; shipped SSO, including schema and index changes on the production users table

2022–2023 Music tech

Loudly

AI-powered music generation platform used by content creators worldwide, based in Berlin.

  • Flutter apps for iOS and Android, with state managed in Bloc and Cubits, integrated with native iOS components written in Swift
  • Audio processing with FFmpeg in native iOS and Android code, called from Flutter through platform channels
  • Maintained the CI/CD pipelines that kept builds stable

2022 Logistics

Metrobi

Logistics and delivery management platform — route optimization and day-to-day business operations.

  • Mobile and web apps with React Native, Expo and React, with state managed in MobX
  • Shipped app updates with Expo EAS, including over-the-air updates
  • Integrated APIs and backend services for operational workflows
  • Coached and mentored teammates as a technical lead

2014–2017 CTO

PickMeApp

Mobility platform born inside Getset, the company I founded in Belo Horizonte and later ran with friends I brought in. I was CTO, and we raised a few investment rounds.

  • Led design, architecture and development of the MVP and core platform from zero; recruited, mentored and coordinated the developers
  • Native iOS (Objective-C, later Swift) and Android apps for riders and drivers, on a PHP/Laravel backend
  • Arrivals at partner venues validated with Bluetooth beacons
  • A CMS for running the business — venues, drivers and riders — where venues also managed their own settings
  • Route optimization and shared rides, where much of the engineering time went
  • Moved the database from MySQL to PostgreSQL to use PostGIS for service areas; tuned slow queries with EXPLAIN and moved high-volume driver-location writes to Redis

Objective-C · Swift · Android · PHP/Laravel · MySQL · PostgreSQL · PostGIS · Redis · Beacons

2008–2011 First job

Takenet (now Blip)

Mobile content for Brazil’s carriers — ringtones, wallpapers and the stores that sold them. I joined as an intern and grew into a systems analyst, in practice a full-stack role focused on web interfaces.

  • Started on RingRing, a platform selling content for the phones of the time — monophonic and polyphonic ringtones, color and monochrome wallpapers
  • Moved to the interfaces team to build storefronts that sold content straight to users — WAP pages in WML for older phones, BREW navigation for limited devices, and web stores in C# and .NET
  • Built content stores for Brazil’s largest carriers — Vivo, TIM and Claro — starting with TIM Music Store, TIM’s portal for selling content to its customers
  • Each store served a regular web version and a mobile version, told apart by the user-agent values the carriers sent

  • Binance WebSockets feed SMA, EMA, MACD and RSI, recomputed on every candle close
  • Services talk mostly over WebSockets, through a broker built for Cryptom that routes messages and calculation results; Redis keeps the state services need after a restart
  • Table partitioning keeps ~6.5M candles per pair, plus computed moments, labels, trendlines and rules, fast to query and retain
  • Complementary strategies beyond the zones — cash management focused on growing the USDT balance, and Donchian channels for uptrends
  • Consumer web app in Next.js and React — public site, sign-up and a live dashboard with candles, indicators, balances and orders, charted with TradingView Lightweight Charts, on Free and Pro plans
  • Built the web app with AI-assisted development — Claude Code as the main tool, OpenCode for smaller changes to keep model costs down
  • Runs in Docker across Google Cloud, Fly.io and a home server exposed through Cloudflare Tunnel
